The industrial process of treating hides is long and complex.

The origin of the skins is a determining factor in the final rendering of the leathers. Thanks to its experience, PROPEAUX endeavors to select the best skins according to each origin. We source our raw hides from suppliers that guarantee the European origin of the hides. The tanning is done in several stages: Wet Blue or Wet White (ecological), semi-finished and finishing. At each stage of tanning, our teams select and sort the skins according to the final product to be produced. All the products used for the tanning as well as the work process are environmentally friendly and in accordance with European standards. All products marketed by PROPEAUX comply with the REACH standard imposed by all of Europe on the dangerousness of products.
